Apparel designer, born in Kishiwada City, Osaka, won the first prize in the apparel design competition of Japan Apparel Design Association when she was still studying in the Bunka Fashion College. Since then, she won many more awards such as the Daily Apparel Design Award etc. She was the first Japanese to attend the 1978 Rome Haute Couture Report. She has been actively involved in the world's apparel design circle after attending the 1982 Paris Collection. In the recent years, she has been conducting various kinds of activities of painting, calligraphy and ink painting by combining the art forms of music, ballet and space design etc.
